Courses—Right Where You Are

POP-UP PROV brings Providence Seminary to the city of Winnipeg (and beyond). This innovative, off-site learning experience invites you to engage in a graduate-level Seminary course taught by a Providence Seminary professor from Counselling, Biblical & Theological Studies, or Church Ministry—right in an urban, church-based setting. Designed for convenience and accessibility, courses are offered in the evenings or on weekends, and can be taken for academic credit, audited, or joined as part of the local church community. Pop-Up Prov invites the wider church to explore what Providence has to offer—growing in biblical understanding while gaining practical insights and skills for faithful, effective ministry.

Next Course: Winter 2027

IT’S THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT: Holy Spirit and Last Things (TS6205) is being offered on Tuesdays at the Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church starting on January 12, and taught by Dr. Robert Dean (Professor of Theology & Ethics; Doctor of Ministry Program Director).

Eschatology is speech about the end or last things, but that doesn’t mean it can be relegated to an appendix at the end of a book. Rather, the Christian faith is eschatological through and through. What might it mean for Christians to recover this thoroughly eschatological perspective? This course will venture that, at the very least, it will entail a fresh encounter with the Holy Spirit, who is the Lord and giver of life.
